Taiwan ACRC Precision: Micro Injection Technology for High-Precision Medical Device Manufacturing

Published on: 2025-10-11

In the field of medical device manufacturing, "micron-level precision" is not only a technical standard but also a core prerequisite for ensuring patient safety. Since its establishment in Taiwan after the pandemic, ACRC Precision Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of AC Group, has built micro injection technology into a "precision engine" for the medical device sector, leveraging over 30 years of experience in mold export, manufacturing, and processing. It provides global medical customers with end-to-end solutions from design to delivery.

Different from traditional injection molding technology, ACRC Precision's micro injection services focus on the dual challenges of "ultra-small size + special materials". In terms of material application, we have taken the lead in overcoming injection molding difficulties with special engineering plastics such as PSU (polysulfone), PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), and PEEK (polyether ether ketone). These materials possess high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and other properties, making them ideal choices for core medical components like heart stent parts, minimally invasive device catheters, and diagnostic equipment sensors. Meanwhile, we integrate Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology into the micro injection system to achieve precise composite molding of metal and plastic, meeting the dual requirements of medical devices for structural strength and lightweight design.

To ensure medical-grade precision, our micro injection process is equipped with a "full-chain quality control system": From the mold design stage, five-axis machining technology is used to create micron-level cavities; in the production phase, BOY micro injection machines (with a clamping force of 5-137.5 tons, supporting the molding of 0.01-9.0 oz PS products) are introduced; and in the finished product inspection stage, high-precision optical instruments are used to verify dimensional tolerances (with errors controllable within ±0.005mm). Every step strictly complies with the ISO 13485 medical quality management system standards.

Furthermore, to meet the OEM/ODM needs of medical customers, we offer "customized project management services": A professional team of engineers deeply participates in the customer's product design, optimizing structural details based on the characteristics of micro injection technology (such as avoiding stress concentration at thin-walled areas and optimizing gate positions to reduce flash); during production, progress is synchronized in real-time to ensure on-time order delivery; in the after-sales phase, mold maintenance and process adjustment suggestions are provided to help customers reduce long-term production costs.

From the R&D center at the Taiwan headquarters to the localized services at the Mexico factory (equipped with advanced CNC, EDM, and WEDM equipment to quickly respond to the needs of North American medical customers), ACRC Precision has always positioned itself as a "guardian of medical device precision", using micro injection technology to drive the global medical device industry towards "more minimally invasive, more precise, and more reliable" development.
